Gynaecological Endocrinology
Catherine Conway is a specialist endocrinologist who is available for consultation with patients who have hormone problems which may impact on fertility.
These include conditions which can lead to a failure to ovulate such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, thyroid disorders and pituitary conditions such as high levels of prolactin. In addition she is able to advise on the management of premature ovarian failure and address treatment options to alleviate menopausal symptoms and prevent long term complications due to low oestrogen.
Some types of male infertility are due to a failure of the testes to develop properly and can be associated with low testosterone levels, Catherine is able to advise appropriate treatment and arrange long term follow up and further investigations as necessary.
