Tubal surgery
For some women tubal surgery offers a good chance of overcoming tubal obstruction and allowing conception to occur naturally. One treatment offers the chance of a whole family, which otherwise could take several IVF cycles.
Tubal surgery can be the appropriate treatment for reversing tubal ligation, or for removing a hydrosalpinx. In some cases it can be effectively used to overcome tubal damage due to previous infections, though in other cases IVF may be the preferred treatment.
At your initial consultation our specialist can discuss whether this is the appropriate treatment for you. Dr Greg Phillipson is an experienced tubal surgeon who can perform this surgery for you.
Where tubal surgery is the most appropriate treatment, and you are eligible for public funding, it may be paid for under our public funding as the equivalent of one IVF cycle.
