Dr. Richard Henshaw

NATIONAL MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr Richard Henshaw has practised in the field of reproductive medicine in both the United Kingdom and Australia for the past 12 years. He is currently the National Medical Director of Repromed and previously worked for Monash IVF in Victoria and as a Medical Director of the CARE Group, the largest private group in the United Kingdom.
He is Chairman of the IVF Medical Directors of Australia and New Zealand, and also Chairman of the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Technical Committee, which reviews the regulatory regime in place in Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Tremellen completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2001,topping the MRANZCOG examination in Australia and NZ. Following his specialty training, he commenced sub-specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI). After three years of sub-specialty training in all surgical and medical aspects of infertility treatment he became a Clinical Director at Repromed. In addition Dr Tremellen's qualifications extend to a PhD as well as being an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at the University of South Australia. His clinical interests include male infertility and recurrent miscarriage.
Dr Tremellen is the inventor of two recent innovations in the field of reproductive medicine; the "Egg Timer" and the male fertility pill "Menevit". The Egg Timer is a combination of a blood test and pelvic ultrasound which help determine how many good quality eggs remain within a woman's ovaries. This test has now become a routine investigation for all women attending Repromed fertility clinics and is also becoming an increasingly popular aid to help women plan when to have a baby.
Menevit is a male fertility pill invented by Dr Tremellen and developed in collaboration with Bayer Australia. It has been shown in research studies conducted at Repromed (Menevit trial and the ADAM study) to reduce sperm DNA damage and boost IVF pregnancy rates.
Dr. Christine Kirby

Dr Christine Kirby is a Clinical Director of Repromed and a leading fertility specialist. She has dedicated more than 25 years of her professional career to the development and provision of infertility services and treatment approaches which have allowed many thousands of couples to realise their dream of having a child.
Christine has a commitment to quality patient care for both private and public patients aiming for best outcome for every patient. She is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Adelaide and currently State Chair for RANZCOG and deputy member for the Reproductive Technology Council of SA having sat on that council for many years. She is one of a team of four people who won a grant from the Australian Commonwealth Office for the Status of Women to develop an education program for both men and women regarding fertility.
Christine trained as a specialist in Adelaide and Auckland and is one of a small number of practitioners who has worked in the field since the first IVF babies were born.
Her interests are broad covering all medical areas of female and male infertility, with extensive experience in IVF and ovulation induction and lifestyle management.
Dr. Chris Barry

Dr Christopher Barry is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who trained in the UK and has worked in Australia for over ten years. He holds an honorary title as Visiting Lecturer at the University of Adelaide and is currently completing a PhD into the use of three-dimensional ultrasound.
Dr. Simona Fischer

Dr Simona Fischer is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Her clinical interests are helping couples with fertility problems, Obstetrics and Laparocopic Surgery.
Dr Fisher is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She graduated from the Auckland School of Medicine and has worked in fertility units in Australia and New Zealand. Over the last few years her clinical focus has been on Reproductive Medicine, High Risk Obstetrics, Gynaecological Oncology and complex Laparoscopic Surgery. She works in the private sector as well as at Flinders Medical Centre.
Dr. James Harvey
MBBS (Melb), FRANZCOG, MRCOG
Dr Harvey trained in Australia and the UK working in infertility clinics in Melbourne, Dundee and Newcastle Upon Tyne (both UK), Albury IVF Unit and Adelaide.
He has a special interest in factors effecting pregnancy outcome. He is currently Head of an Obstetric Unit at the Adelaide Women's & Children's Hospital, and an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr. Stephen Lane

Dr Stephen Lane qualified from Adelaide University in 1990. He has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstericians and Gynaecologists since 2001. His special interest is Reproductive Medicine and he studied in the United Kingdom before continuing his practice at Flinders Reproductive Medicine for nine years.
Dr Bruno Radesic
MD, FRANZCOG
Dr Bruno Radesic is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has been working in public and private practice for the past two years. Bruno's main clinical interests are female and male infertility, early pregnancy complications and general gynaecology.
He consults at Repromed Adelaide Clinic and also in Port Lincoln.
Dr. Mojgan Vatani
MD, FRANZCOG
Dr Mojgan Vatani is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr Mojgan Vatani graduated from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden and then studied obstetrics and gynaecology before moving to Adelaide, Australia. Since 1998 she has worked in obstetrics and gynaecology for extended periods in all of Adelaide's major hospitals. In 2001 she won an Excellence Award for Excellent Performance from The Women's and Children's Hospital.
Over the past few years her main focus has been infertility and high risk obstetrics/pregnancy. She also works as a Staff Specialist at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide.
Dr. Kimberley Sleeman

Dr Kimberley Sleeman is an obstetrician and gynaecologist providing a full range of specialist care for the women of Mildura and the surrounding districts.
She completed her training at the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne, followed by further experience in Winchester, UK. Upon returning to Australia, she completed further training with Repromed Adelaide, gaining experience in all aspects of infertility and assisted reproduction. She continues to practice in this area through Repromed Mildura.
Dr Sleeman works in combined private and public practice, and the Repromed Mildura facilities are incorporated in her clinic. Her areas of special interest include infertility, colposcopy and general gynaecology, in addition to pregnancy care. Dr Sleeman also provides a visiting service to Broken Hill to facilitate infertility treatment for couples in our wide regional catchment area.
She is committed to long-term practice as a specialist in the Mildura community.

Dr. Michelle Lane

SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR
Dr Michelle Lane is currently a Scientific Director of Repromed and a Senior Lecturer with the Research Centre for Reproductive Health. She received her Ph.D. in December 1996 and then spent 2 years at the University of Wisconsin as a post-doctoral fellow before moving to take up a Senior Scientist position at the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine. She has combined her research appointments with clinical embryology since 1992 when she moved to a scientific advisor role to 2 clinics in the USA and then Scientific Director. At the end of 2003, Dr. Lane returned to Australia at the University of Adelaide to establish a clinical orientated research program in the area of mammalian embryology and oocyte biology. In 2004 she was awarded a 'Tall Poppy' award for recognition of excellence for young biomedical researchers in South Australia. In 2005, she began as a NHMRC RD Wright Fellow.
Dr. Lane has published extensively in the area of preimplantation embryology and has co-authored 51 premier peer-reviewed journals (including Nature Biotechnology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Developmental Biology and Biology of Reproduction, the highest impact factor reproduction journal), 11 review articles, edited 2 books and written 17 book chapters. Her intellectual input into this published research is demonstrated by the number of first and last author publications attributed to her (53 publications). Dr. Lane is an innovative researcher with extensive experience in intellectual property protection and commercialization as evidenced by being an inventor on several different patent applications Dr. Lane has established herself as a highly motivated researcher with a growing international reputation.

Dr. Tricia Davies

Dr Tricia Davies started her medical career as a busy general practitioner with special interests in Women's Health (esp. gynaecology and menopause), children's health and surgery. To further her interests and experience she spent three years in London and Scotland undertaking further training in obstetrics and gynaecology, anaesthetics, paediatrics and family planning; working with many leaders in their fields.
Her ideal job opened up at Repromed in 1993, and she now has ten years experience in infertility, and related issues. She is especially interested in nutrition and weight and their effects on fertility.
Tricia continues to love and be inspired by the work at Repromed, and sees it as an incredible privilege to be able to assist couples to achieve their dreams.
Dr. Lisa Bedson
MBBS, FRACGP, DipRANZCOG, MRepM
Dr Lisa Bedson is a graduate of the University of Adelaide. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds a Diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has now completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Health Care at the University of Toronto and the Toronto based Create Fertility Centre, and has a Masters degree in Reproductive Medicine from UNSW.
She is thrilled to return home to Repronmed in May 2009.
Dr. Angela McLean
MBBS, Dip. Obs. RACOG, MPH, FAFPHM, MRMed
Dr Angela McLean has a Fellowship in Public Health Medicine, and a Masters degree in Reproductive Medicine (UNSW). She is the medical member of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Ethics Committee and serves on the SA AFPHM Regional Committee and the Editorial Committee of the AMA(SA). She graduated from medicine at Adelaide University in 1985 and subsequently obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and the Family Planning Certificate before working as a general practitioner with a focus on women's health. Dr McLean then moved into the field of breast cancer screening, working mainly at BreastScreen SA, but also in California, before deciding to embark upon undertaking specialist training in Public Health Medicine. This training enabled her to experience working in a range of fields including the SA Pregnancy Outcome Unit where she undertook a thesis on maternal epilepsy and fetal outcome. She has worked at Repromed since 2008 and thrives on helping people overcome their fertility problems.
Dr. Catherine Videon
MBBS, FRACGP, Dip. Child Health, Family Planning Australia Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health
Dr. Catherine Videon completed her medical degree in 1992 at Adelaide University. After she gained further experience through working in the public hospital system she undertook general practice training which was completed in 1998. She subsequently worked as a general practitioner in Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and Sydney, and also worked for SHINE (formerly Family Planning South Australia).
She spent one year in Bristol, UK, working as a clinical medical officer in Family Planning before returning to general practice in Adelaide.
Catherine has joined the team at Repromed in 2008 and is enthusiastic about her future career in such a positive and ever evolving area of medicine.
Dr. Hilary Whittle
MBBS, DipRANZCOG, FRACGP
After completing medical school in Adelaide, Dr Hilary Whittle headed off to Darwin for her twelve month Internship and accidentally stayed for three years, developing an interest in General Practice, Women's Health, Paediatrics and Travel Medicine along the way. She eventually returned to her family and friends in Adelaide and after a year working at Lyell McEwin in Obstetrics and Gynaecology moved on to advanced training in General Practice, gaining her Fellowship in 1995. A chance for further experience in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Paediatrics led to a hospital position in Birmingham, UK for eighteen months. She is a current examiner for the RACGP, Vice Chair of the College's training and accreditation committee and RACGP representative on the Management Board and Advisory Committee of the SA Cervix Screening Program.
Her main interest in Medicine has remained in Women's and Children's Health, with a particular focus on pregnancy and fertility in recent years. The opportunity to join the team at Repromed in 2007 has been the start of a rewarding and inspirational new direction in her career.
Dr. Sarah Matthews
MBBS, DipRANZCOG, FRACGP, DipCH
Dr Sarah Matthews completed her medical degree in 1992 at Adelaide University. She spent two years working in hospitals in the UK and a further year in Vietnam and Thailand. On return to Australia she worked in the paediatric field then moved to Melbourne for five years in which time she completed her Fellowship in General Practice. During this time she developed a keen interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and after working at the Royal Women's Hospital undertook a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Nicky Purser
MBBS FRACGP DRANZCOG
After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1986, Dr Nicky Purser worked in country Queensland before coming to Darwin in 1990 to work at Royal Darwin Hospital. Since then, she has lived and worked in most NT towns - Darwin, Katherine and Gove as well as four happy years in Alice Springs.
Since her return from Alice Springs in 2000, she has been working in General Practice in Darwin, with special interests in Women's Health, Paediatrics and GP Anaesthetics. She has been very pleased to be able to expand her interest in Women's Health with her commencement at Repromed in May 2009.
Dr. Stephanie Girle
MBBS, DRANZCOG, FRACGP
Dr Stephanie Girle completed her medical degree in Queensland and is a tropical creature. She moved from Cairns to Darwin in 1982 and worked as a flying doctor where she met her pilot husband. Dr Girle then spent 10 years in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of the Royal Darwin Hospital developing her interest in women's health. Dr Girle has consulted at the Darwin Repromed clinic since 1993 and also has a successful general practice in Fannie Bay.
